ABOUT

Alyssa Jones is a consultant advancing Graphic Design and User Experience Design and Research under the name of Cooking with Gas Studio. A problem-solver by nature, she is always interested in improving systems and designs. Her goal is to leverage usability (UX) research and design with her passion for blending creativity and brand strategy to build value for both end-users and businesses.

 

Believing in giving back and not one to stand on the sidelines, she is on the Board of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation's largest LGBTQ civil rights organization serving as a Governor representing Boston/New England and serves on the National HRC Board of Governors Executive Committee as National Federal Club Co-Chair. Locally, Alyssa has served as a volunteer for HRC for nine years and presently is the Board liaison to the HRC Marketing Communications and Federal Club Committees. Previously, she has served as HRC New England Gala Dinner co-chair, Marketing Committee co-chair, and a Steering Committee volunteer.

 

In addition, Alyssa currently serves on the Salem for All Ages Task Force. And previously she served as a member of the Gateway Arts/Vinfen Advisory Committee as well as a founding Board member and Treasurer of the Salem Arts Association where she was instrumental in securing their 501(c)(3) status.

 

Alyssa holds a Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University. And she has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Ohio State University and completed undergraduate work at Mount Holyoke College.
